How to Insert Bash Code in LibreOffice topic

I've been using (vanilla) Ubuntu 14.10 for several months now, and at present I'm using LibreOffice Writer as a Word substitute/replacement. I like it, but I'm having trouble finding out how to insert bash code. Since I'm not an expert (I only know a few basic bash commands) I want to make sure I'm not misusing any terminology: by "inserting bash code" I mean being able to do insert a little box with bash text, just like posters are able to do in the forums. You know, like this:

Code:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

Basically, I just want to be able to insert code in a Writer document like I can on this forum; and (very) preferably, I would be able to do this without having to do something radical like writing in LaTeX or HTML. Is there a relatively painless way to accomplish this? Thanks in advance for your help!
