Hello,
I run Ubuntu 14.04 alongside Windows 7 Home Premium x64 on my low-power Acer machine. Here's my specs:
AMD E-350
DDR3 2 GB RAM
Radeon HD 6310
Windows 7 Home Premium x64
500 GB Hard Drive
Working good I might say. I did have a minor complaint when I first installed it a few days ago that no sound was coming out of my connected stereo headphones, but for some reason it started playing sound today. The only question I'm asking is what you suggest I do next. I decided to try to use the terminal, successfully compiled a software package binary from source (one so far), and played around with learning to code (using Ruby). But what can an end-user do to take advantage when he isn't a server owner or professional user? To an end-user, how exactly does Ubuntu differ from Microsoft besides the look of the UI?
