I started out my compter life, such as it is, back in 1984 with CP/M on a Kaypro 2X which came bundled with WordStar and sister MicroPro software plus MBASIC. I was able to get the GOTO, FOR/NEXT, IF/THEN, etc. down pat to the point that I wrote a program to analyse the aerodynamics of a propeller and then design a better mousetrap... er, propeller. It ran 1,500 lines of instruction, many of which were multiple-instruction lines so the final was probably closer to 2,000 instructions. This enabled me to get a patent on a prop design.
I miss being able to write programs, large or small, with this easy-to-master utility. Does anyone know if here is any way to get a copy which could be run in Linux, possibly through Wine?
