All of a sudden today, the wifi on my HPEnvy running Ubuntu 14.04 stopped working. The option to turn wireless on and off as well as the connections were not displayed in the Network Manager. I tried restarting several times, and after a restart, the wifi seems to be on, and it has connected to my wifi connection. However, as soon as i try to access the internet from the browser, it just keeps going on at "resolving host" in chrome or connecting in Firefox, until the computer suddenly freezes for a few seconds, and then the wifi once again disappears from the Network Manager menu.
The wifi worked fine until today, and it works fine when i boot in Windows 8.
Any advice on why this is happening would be much appreciated.
