[lubuntu] How to slow down mouse clicks topic

OK, so I am old and the old clicker-finger is not responding to brain messages as fast as most of you young whipper-snappers here. I am getting tired of trying to double-click fast enough to launch stuff, open folders etc. My available time left on the planet is dwindling fast so I do not want to spend 23-minutes per day playing whack-a-mole with the mouse button.

But, there are only two options, Acceleration and Sensitivity.

An online search returns many suggestions all of which include an option for "Mouse click speed" I know Lubuntu is a cut down version, but did they really have to cut it down this far?

So, without changing to another Linux variant, how do I slow down the mouse clicks.
