I've been working on installing ubuntu on a laptop which formerly had windows 8.1. Acer Aspire ES1-512-C88M. I am able to successfully install but can't boot from the hdd. I installed using USB. Steps that I've taken so far:
1. Verified boot from HDD is first option in BIOS and booting UEFI.
2. Gparted to add boot flag to hdd partition
3. Boot-repair/recommended repair - output (http://paste.ubuntu.com/10128271/)
Those were the most common bits of advice I found on these message boards. Anything else I can try?
