How to remove old Nautilus device bookmark? topic

Re: Ubuntu Gnome Desktop 14.04LTS. (Also has Unity) Original install on this one was 8.04LTS.

Previously, when it was a previous dist version, I had added a bookmark for "mounting" an ISO image's filesystem. (I was doing a lot LiveCD builds at the time...) Since I've upgraded various versions since then... Lost the ability to remove those. Right click on it and "Remove" is grayed out.

Still shows up in nautilus'es devices section. Not in one of the bookmarks files (I've looked). Not track of anyhthing in /media

Not seen via dconf or gconf editors, nor unity or gnome tweak... Done a "find" string search on the base HDD. Cannot find anywhere where I might remove this bookmark.

Any ideas anyone?

[ubuntu] Cannot remove OpenJDK, without installing other packages topic

Greetings,

I am running Ubuntu 14.04.1 64-bit and I would like to remove the packages openjdk-7-* since I already have Oracle Java installed. But when I try to remove them via the command line I get the following weird response which suggests to install the earlier releases of the very packages I would like to purge. How can I remedy this situation and remove OpenJDK for good? Any help and/or suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

my current dist-upgrade wants to remove kwin, and I don't see a viable kwin alternate wanting to be installed. So, for now I will just upgrade.

[ubuntu] How to remove 'duplicate sources.list entry' topic

Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit; 4Gb RAM; dual boot with Windows 7; No PPAs except for GIMP 2.8.14
Whenever I update/upgrade the OS, I get this message while upgrading:

Reading package lists... Done

W: Duplicate sources.list entry http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu/ trusty/partner amd64 Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/archive.canonical.com_ubuntu_dists_trusty_partner_ binary-amd64_Packages)

This same wording is repeated 8 times and then,

W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems

Reading package lists... Done

I have run sudo apt-get update or sudo apt-get dist-upgrade or sudo apt-get autoremove, but these messages keep appearing.

Could anyone tell me how to remove the duplicate.
