Why is it that when the keyboard layout is set to non-english (Hebrew), then some keyboard shortcut does not work?
For example, when I hit Ctrl+C or Ctrl+V it has no effect whatsoever. So whenever I want to copy-paste some hebrew text, I need to shift the keyboard layout to english, then hit Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V to copy-paste the text, then shift it back to hebrew keyboar layout to keep writing. That's really annoying.
In fact, looking at this list of keyboard shortcuts everything in that list works fine when the keyboard layout is hebrew except the Common Application shortcuts described in this link.
Is it a known bug? Is it even a bug? maybe missing installation files?
I'm running Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS.
