[ubuntu] Goes to login on shutdown or reboot topic

I'm running ubuntu 12.04 LTS on a r61 thinkpad 64 bit. Dual boot with windows 8.1
I was creating user and deleting standard user in ubuntu , now when I restart or shutdown in ubuntu it goes immediatly back to my administrator account login. I deleted all other users.
No Post boot etc just straight back to login quickly.
Will boot fix program on usb for 64 bit fix this ?

[xubuntu] desktop items re-positioning on reboot topic

My desktop items always used to stay where I put them, but just lately they have been re-setting themselves to top left when I re-boot the computer. How can I go back to having them stay in the position I move them to? Xubuntu 14.4.01 and XCFE 4.

Thanks, Ray

[ubuntu] apportcheckresume - ProblemType: KernelOps after each reboot topic

each time I'm booting my Ubuntu 14.10 system and log in for the first time, I'm getting the same number of 'System program problem detected' popups. they are really annoying. it's a number of popups with the same error:

/usr/share/apport/apportcheckresume - ProblemType: KernelOps

I wonder how one can get rid of these
