[kubuntu] suspend to ram not work on 3.16 kernel topic

I have notebook acer aspire vn7-791g with kubuntu 14.04 on it.
If i use default kernel (v 3.13), suspend to ram work fine but touchpad don't work.
If i use kernel v 3.16 from kernel.ubuntu.com touchpad work fine, but suspend to ram don't work(it show me lockscreen and not responding to keyboard or touchpad, only reset help).
What should i do to get suspend to ram work on 3.16 kernel?

Ubuntu 14.10 USB plugin causes system suspend topic

Hi,

I am facing a problem whenever I plugin anything into any usb port be it a printer a flash drive or a scanner my system goes into suspend mode and then I have to press a key to wake it back up again, when I have the charger pluged in I do not face this problem so this happens only on battery, anyone has any Idea? I upgraded my bios to latest version and tried to upgrade from 14.04 to 14.10 but nothing seems to work.

this is what log looks like when I insert a USB

[xfce] Logout and suspend problems topic

Hi,
I installed Xubuntu 14.04.1 on my laptop and on my desktop PC and everything were OK, but somehow things changed, I don't know why and how can I correct:
- after logout only the background and the mouse cursor is visible, and the system is idle (except I can move the cursor)
- after executing suspend (xfce4-session-logout --suspend) the power stops, but restarting the system with the power on button - although the machine working - the display remains black,
on my laptop the logout works well: a login screen appears immediately, the suspend is wrong but this is a video driver issue as far as I know

thanks

[kubuntu] Suspend option removed. topic

In the Leave option in KDE App launcher, the suspend option is not present. It is not even in any other place ( options in closing the lid ).
I'm able to do the suspend action via terminal ( sudo pm-suspend).
But how to enable it so that it shows in the option menu also.
